  • My tip for those who are fasting in Ramadan is to eat food items that contains high fiber and carbohydrates and also drink lots of water.

  • Start Iftar with warm water and with dates milkshakes. Eat rich water content foods like cucumber, melons.
    Do not sleep right after Iftar and Suhoor. Do not sit on direct hot. Avoid oily and processed foods. End suhoor with yogurt or laban.

  • Eat Healthy and avoid salty foods. Always Eat fresh vegetables They give low in calories , high in fibre . Exercise lightly which will help to digest excess fats and make sure to drink water when exercising.

  • Eat food which is rich in fiber keep yourself hydred by drinking lot’s of water or watery fruits like watermelon

  • Drink lots of water. Keep yourself hydrated.
    Eat dates and dry fruits as they are rich in fiber.
    Try to take something that has protein to maintain energy levels during the fast like meat or eggs.

  • Avoid drinking tea and coffee during Suhour, as these beverages dehydrate your body which will lead to fluid loss in body.
    Grill meat items rather than frying in oil.
    Include lots of fruits and vegetables for iftar and suhour meals.
    Include lots of complex carbohydrates and protein which takes time to digest.

  • Meats, legumes, eggs and dairy products are rich in proteins. Ensure you have at least 1 of these sources in every Ramadan meal since proteins are very important for you body cells

  • Avoid salt and extra spices
    Drink coffee in moderation and avoid the energy drrinks or the soda drinks
    Lots of watter and fruits should keep you hydrated

  • As you will be fasting the whole day it is important to keep your body hydrated by eating food with high water content. Have smoothies, fresh fruit juices and coconut water to stay hydrated. Try to avoid tea and coffee as they dehydrate your body.

  • Food items that contain fiber and carbohydrate helps us to maintain the energy level of our body and keep up our stamina through out the day. Dairy products, fruits, grains etc are great source of carbs. In take of proteins is also good in the time of Ramadan.

  • In order to avoid dehydration, it is important to hydrate our body with enough water during Suhoor. Water melon, cucumber, celery, tomato, orange, strawberry etc are perfect to hydrate your body.

  • Start iftar with dates and milkshakes.
    Eat rich water content fruits to keep hydrated.
    Regulate sleep pattern. Do not sleep immediately after iftar and suhoor.
    Avoid processed food and oily foods. It leads to obesity. Do not sit more time on hot area. Avoid high calorie foods. Ramadan Kareem .

  • –After iftār, stay well hydrated by taking regular sips of water every half hour, or a cup full or more every hour.
    –Physical exercise immediately after iftār may not be a good idea, as our blood flow is being directed to our digestive system at that time.
    –Please be mindful of the sugar content in caffeinated energy drinks. With tea and coffee, again moderation is key.

  • Some people tend to eat more during Ramadan and this can lead to weight gain. Eating a healthy Iftar, eating starters and sweets in moderation, choosing more fruits and vegetables, avoiding sweetened beverages, and being active everyday will help you maintain your weight.
